Hello, my name is Nicole. I am a professional mixed media artist who has been working for five years, shown in multiple local galleries, and sold to private collectors. I learned from the Milan Art Institute for one year from professional artists. After a couple years of expanding my portfolio and selling privately, I began tutoring students and aspiring artists to help them achieve the skills to create what they wish to create, and do so in their own style. I have tutored privately and through online platforms for three years.
I am a mixed media artist, so I use many different mediums including acrylic and oil paint, spray paint, inks, charcoal, graphite, pen, and collage! If you want to know if I use a particular medium, please feel free to ask!

Anybody can draw, but it takes a good eye to find just what you can draw with the right tools, and it is good to know there are people who can guide you in the best way
I purchased around a dozen lessons with Nicole for my 9 year old daughter and am extremely happy with how it all went. Nicole provided a list of recommended supplies, was always on-time for teaching and taught my daughter many basic skills and advanced techniques. I would not hesitate to recommend Nicole to others or to sign up for lessons in the future. The only reason we stopped is because we have a full Summer planned and are not sure we can maintain the weekly lesson schedule.
I see steady improvement of my son's drawing under Nicole's instruction. She is nice to kid and knows how to encourage kids to their potentials. She is also good at listening and adjusting strategies based on feedbacks.

Nicole is super giving of her expertise. I learned a ton, lotsa notes. Hope to go forward with her and learn a lot more from her. We focussed on atstract in very particular steps which is exactly what i need right now being a sort of beginner. Nicole has alot more in store to share!

Nicolle is personable and fun to be around for starters. But even better she is knowledgeable about art and able to teach in a way that my ten year old relates to and understands and learns from. And to top it all off she is very punctual.

Teaching Style
I am a firm believer that anyone can learn how to make beautiful art, regardless of their current skill level or perceived 'talent'. I can teach you about many different mediums! For drawing I use graphite, charcoal, pen, and colored pencil on a regular basis. For paintings, I use collage, spray paint, inks, acrylic paint, oil paint, and mark making. I have experience making more traditional paintings, as well as more abstract stylized ones.
Our lessons will be partly structured by your own experience, and your goals. We will begin with how to hold your implements, and some basic exercises. From there, we focus on proportions, value (light and dark), color (if using colored mediums), and eventually perspective. As we move through more advanced skills, students will be encouraged to give feedback on if something is paritcularly easy, or difficult, so that I can adjust the lessons accordingly. We will move at your pace, and help you build your skills and find your style.
