About
Hello! I'm Noah,
I've been playing clarinet for 15 years and have been teaching for the last 7!
I have an undergraduate degree is in Clarinet Performance from Indiana University, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan (Go Blue) with a Masters of Music degree. I held the Principal Clarinet position in the Dearborn Symphony in Michigan before I moved to Houston for my ongoing musical pursuits.
I have experience playing in musical theater pits, jazz ensembles, as well as concert bands! All ages are welcome!!
My primary instrument is clarinet but I also love playing my sax and flute as much as I can :)
Teaching Style
I love finding material or songs that my students enjoy learning and fitting my teaching to their interests. In addition, I encourage and teach improvisation. I believe its a key to unlocking freedom on the instrument!
A lesson with me would include technique work, air and sound production exercises, listening, as well as whatever a student wanted to work on during that lesson.
