About

Hello! My name is Soledad Maldonado. I´m a Composer, Orchestra Conductor, Violinist, and Pianist from Argentina, with over 15 years of experience in music education and artistic creation. I hold a degree in Musical Composition from the National University of Córdoba. Where I also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Composition Department.

Throughout my career, I have explored a wide range of musical languages, from orchestral writing to electronic music production. I´ve composed works for esemble, soloists, choir, theater, film, pop, electronic and dance.  As a teacher, my purpose is to accompany students in the development of their own musical voice throught a blend  of technique, intuition, and personal expression.

Currently, I´m the artistic Director of a Community- Based Orchestra Program in Alta Gracia       ( Argentina), a project I founded to  provide access to music education to diverse through orchestra and ensemble work in diverse neighborhoods

Teaching Style

My teaching style is centered on the creative process and adapted to each student's level and goals.I design personalized lessons that integrate composition, analysis, theory, listening, and experimentation. I create a safe and inspiring environment where students can explore their ideas freely, develop their expressive tools, and build solid technical foundations. I encourage both intuitive writing and formal thinking, combining traditional techniques with contemporary and interdisciplinary approaches.

I work with students from all backgrounds whether you're just beginning to create your first pieces, looking to refine advanced structures, or curious about new music, electronic tools, or scoring for other art forms.

You can take classes in Spanish or English

Curriculum

My method is based on personalized instruction, starting with each student's specific goal: whether it's composing a song, an instrumental work, or exploring music creation tools. From this goal, we develop a curriculum structured in progressive levels, combining theory and practice in an integrated and dynamic way.

Each class is designed to strengthen both the technical and creative aspects of composition, addressing elements such as harmony, form, rhythm, texture, instrumentation, and writing. Depending on each student's needs and interests, specific sessions are included on composition analysis, musical language, notation, and the use of digital tools if the project requires it.

In addition, I offer training in music composition and production with technology, using programs such as Ableton Live, VST plugins, and mixing, mastering, and sound synthesis techniques. These resources allow for expanded creative and technical possibilities, especially for those wishing to work in genres such as electronic music, pop, or soundtracks.
