About
With over 10 years of experience as a pianist and music theory teacher, I have developed a deep understanding of both performance and theory. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of students, helping them excel in areas like ear training, harmony, rhythm, composition and analysis. My achievements include guiding students to successfully pass theory exams (like College exams and ABRSM), perform confidently, and develop their own compositions.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is personalized and student-focused, blending theory with practical examples to make learning engaging and relevant. My lessons involve a PowerPoint demonstration, personalised workbook/worksheet, sheet music guide and demonstration with the aid of the piano and metronome. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel motivated to reach their full potential, no matter their skill level.
Curriculum
My teaching method emphasizes understanding the "why" behind musical concepts, allowing students to connect theory with practical application. I use a structured approach that adapts to each student’s learning pace, incorporating interactive exercises, real-world musical examples, and improvisation techniques to keep lessons engaging and relevant.
