As a multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years of musical and compositional experience, I am delighted to invite you to my unique style of teaching. Whether you are just beginning your musical journey or are wanting to expand on prior repertoire, my approach is fun and student interest focused. I conduct lessons for several different instruments and genres, all ages welcome. I hope to reach you soon and we can begin an enriching musical experience together!
Teaching Style
My teaching style is fun and student interest focused - I want to teach you what YOU want to learn and in a way that is both comfortable and flexible. My methods range from aural teaching and muscle memory, to tablature and chord chart study. I will teach several different picking styles for banjo, and for bass guitar we will cover finger-style, picking and slap and pop techniques.
Credentials & Affiliations
Having had much experience in the musical field, I feel as though I am a wonderful asset to this establishment. So far in my career I have released multiple EPs, albums and singles under my moniker All of Her Sound. My take on neo-impressionism would be a great benefit to share and inspire young, novice or seasoned musicians.
I am completely self-taught and have learned from books and videos, to listening by ear and watching others play their instruments and applying what I know from that to my own practices. I have performed in various open mic events held at venues such as Homegrown Hamilton, Hamilton Public Library, Open Studio Art Cafe in Pickering, as well as in public areas with instruments and The City of Hamilton's Month of Music. At these events I have played multiple instruments including but not limited to banjo, bass, guitar, drums and piano/keys.
Lessonface is my first teaching opportunity, and I can guarantee I will be an outstanding aid to whatever you hope to achieve. I believe if I can learn music the way I have, I can inspire students to achieve and excel beyond standard limitations, and become strong, confident and independent musicians.
