About

My name is Omar, and I'm not your typical teacher.

Music teachers usually fall into one of two camps: those close to modern music — rap, pop, the street — and those with classical academic training, deep theory and refined technique, but convinced that real music ended sometime after WW1. I sit in between.

I'm Italian, raised on freestyle battles and jam sessions in Bologna and Milan. At twelve, I began my academic journey — piano, vocals, musical theatre, composition. That combination became the core of what I do: the ability to read hip hop through a technical and harmonic lens, without losing the love for the culture that created it.

I work as a songwriter, rapper, and vocalist. The other half of my life I spend helping people develop that same love for music — through rap and songwriting, vocal coaching, and everything in between.

Let's talk and figure out where to start.

Teaching Style

My teaching style adapts completely to whoever is in front of me. Some sessions are about mindset — breaking through writer's block, exploring creative techniques, finding your voice. Others are hands-on: writing together, working on vocal delivery, or using the piano to unlock new harmonic ideas you didn't know you had. No two lessons look the same. I follow your energy and your needs.

Curriculum

You don't need a background in music theory or years of experience. What matters is that you're open — to new genres, unexpected references, ideas that might feel uncomfortable at first. My ideal student has something to say and wants to learn how to say it better. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced musician who feels stuck, if you're curious and willing to experiment, we'll work well together.

Credentials & Affiliations

Over the past 6 years I've worked with more than 140 students and logged over 1,500 hours of lessons. My students have come from across Europe, Asia, North America, and Oceania — including the UK, US, Australia, Japan, India, Israel, France, Germany, and Hong Kong.

I currently work with a Golden Buzz finalist from The Voice Kids Italy, helping develop their artistic identity and songwriting.

In 2023 I was featured in All Music Italia — one of Italy's leading music publications — after exposing a fraudulent record label that had targeted one of my students. That work led to a direct introduction to the editorial team and an invitation to Warner Music Italia's offices, where I presented a student's project to their A&R team.
