About

I am a pianist and music teacher with a classical background and over 10 years of teaching experience.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Classical Piano Performance) from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas (ASAB, Bogotá, Colombia), and I have also studied Electronic Music Production at SAE Institute (2019).

Alongside my teaching work, I have experience as a performer and musical director. From 2016 to 2019, I worked at Iglesia Confraternidad developing musical ensembles and participating in live performances and original music projects. Since 2020, I have been serving as Music Director at Iglesia Confraternidad Colina Campestre, where I coordinate musicians, organize rehearsals, and lead live music.

I also develop original music projects as a pianist, composer, and producer, combining classical training with contemporary approaches.

My teaching approach combines technique, ear training, improvisation, and musical understanding, helping students become more independent and expressive musicians.

Lessons are mainly taught in Spanish (native), and I can also teach in conversational English.

All levels are welcome.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is practical, structured, and focused on real musical progress.

In each lesson, we:
- identify your current level and goals
- work on specific exercises tailored to your needs
- apply concepts directly on the piano
- develop technique, ear training, and musical understanding

I focus on helping you understand what you play, not just repeat it. This allows you to become more independent, confident, and expressive as a musician.

Curriculum

My teaching method is based on developing a strong musical foundation while keeping the learning process practical, clear, and engaging.

I combine:
- technical development (posture, control, and sound quality)
- ear training and active musical listening
- music theory applied directly on the instrument
- improvisation and creative exploration
- repertoire adapted to each student’s level and interests

I also incorporate focused and intentional practice strategies, helping students avoid mechanical repetition and instead practice with clarity and purpose. This leads to faster progress and more meaningful results.

Rather than relying on a single method, I adapt materials and exercises to each student.

For beginners, I focus on building solid fundamentals and confidence.
For intermediate and advanced students, I work on musical interpretation, independence from sheet music, and deeper understanding of harmony and structure.

My goal is not only that you learn to play, but that you understand music and feel free when interacting with it.
