Oskari Nurminen
About
I’m an award-winning composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with 15+ years of experience in songwriting, music production, and performance. I’ve taught at NYU’s prestigious Songwriting and Contemporary Production Program and worked with artists from beginners to platinum-sellers, helping them refine their craft, find their voice, and reach their goals.
My music has been featured on ABC, BBC, Eurosport, and others; and my students have gone on to release their own songs, enter top music schools, and build successful creative careers. Lessons are tailored to you—whether you want to write your first song, polish your production skills, prepare for auditions and professional opportunities, or just pick up that new instrument you've always wanted to.
No cookie-cutter plans—just the guidance, feedback, and tools you need to create the music you’ve always imagined.
Teaching Style
My teaching is centered on the individual student—your goals, your tastes, and your pace. I combine structured guidance with creative exploration, so lessons feel both productive and inspiring. While I draw on proven techniques in songwriting, production, and performance, I adapt each session to your unique strengths and areas for growth.
I believe there’s no single “right” way to make music. We’ll experiment, workshop your ideas, and explore relevant skills, always in service of your creative vision. You’ll get honest, constructive feedback, clear action steps, and the encouragement to push your boundaries and enjoy the process.
