Patrick Hodge

Hi! Call me Patrick, or Pat. I play and teach the horn here in the lovely city of Denver, CO. I am also a horn player in the Colorado Symphony. Other hobbies outside of music include skiing, golfing and hiking. 

Along with being a past adjunct professor of horn at CU Boulder, I have worked with students in many places and I have learned that each student is different and must be treated with a customized routine. For beginners, I work to create all the correct habits of breathing through the instrument correctly, embouchure development, rhythmic understanding and musical ideas of ear training and theory,. For more experienced players, we will work on various pieces and repertoire, with an emphasis on right brain vs the left brain and how to understand controlling both for your own benefit.
