Paul Kinman

Hey There! Paul here, and I have been playing guitar since I was 12, and teaching professionally for 15 years!

Over the years I have taught many different types of classes for many different types of students, ranging from one on one classes for people as old  as their seventies, and as young as 4, and group classes with up to thirty people present. 

Alongside being a music teacher, I have also worked as a session musician, and a music producer, playing on songs for artists/record labels, and touring as a hired musician backing up various singers. 

I was also a RGT London College of music registered teacher, and had an article published in the London College of Music’s Guitar Tutor magazine called ‘Keeping Students Attention’.

My teaching style is casual and warm, but very organized! I strive to create a friendly easy going atmosphere, where students feel comfortable reaching for the stars and making mistakes along the way in their musical journey. 

Learning any new skill is hard and can be discouraging. Music is no exception, and this is why I feel that a warm, friendly atmosphere is so essential in classes like this. 

My lessons are also entirely catered to each student! After the first few lessons, which are pre-planned, I make personalized lesson plans for each student, to make sure that we hit your individual goals! 

As a result of this, I create all the materials that I send you, so there’s no need to purchase other books, unless we start studying something more advanced or specialized, in which case I may recommend a supplementary text. 

However, if it is a goal of yours, I have a lot of experience with the various methods (RGT, RCM, etc..), and am happy to teach those methods as well!
