Paul McIntyre
About
I am a violin, viola, and piano teacher with over a decade of teaching experience, specializing in precise technique, classical training, and worship/sacred music. I began teaching in 2011 and studied under exceptional mentors—my viola teacher served as the President of the American Viola Society, and my violin and piano teachers were professors at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
In addition to teaching, I serve weekly as a contemporary worship leader and keyboardist. This combination of classical training and real-world worship experience allows me to help students grow not only in technical proficiency but also in expressive, practical musicianship.
I teach beginner through moderately advanced violin and viola, and beginner through moderate piano, in classical, sacred, and contemporary styles.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is structured, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s goals. I emphasize:
• Precise, healthy technique (posture, bowing, fingering, and tone)
• Strong musical expression
• Clear, achievable goals suited to the student’s skill level
• Practical, real-world application, whether in school orchestras, church worship teams, or personal practice
I work to create an environment where students feel supported, confident, and excited to grow. Lessons are personalized based on the student’s interests—whether classical repertoire, worship music, or contemporary keyboarding.
