Paula Amorin Mazzorotolo
About
Hello! My name is Paula, you can call me Poli. I'm an orchestra conductor, singer, vocal coach and voice actress. I've been teaching singing for more than 13 years. I adapt to the needs and preferences of each student, always advocating for vocal health, technique, and interpretation to achieve a high-quality sound through the enjoyment and understanding of how the voice works and its connection to the body.
Argentinian living in Brazil, I am a very eclectic, open, and empathetic person, always willing to learn and share my knowledge with those who seek it.
As an orchestra conductor, I have worked with the Mar del Plata Municipal Symphony Orchestra, the Mar del Plata Municipal Symphonic Band, the Mar del Plata Municipal Children's and Youth Orchestra, the Student Orchestra, among others. In Mar del Plata, I also worked in music schools, private schools, and offered private lessons. I was part of two bands as a keyboardist and backup singer, and participated in various choirs both in Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires. I was also in charge of vocal direction in a production of 'Spring Awakening,' where I also played the role of Ilse.
If you want to learn how to sing, discover the tone of your voice, maintain vocal health, have fun singing, and absorb musicality, don’t hesitate to message me!
Teaching Style
I like to work on the voice through a connection with the instrument, the body. It’s important for students to understand how their instrument works, what we are working on with each exercise, and why. I focus on breathing, vocal technique, and repertoire chosen by the student.
I like to encourage students by highlighting their achievements, identifying areas for improvement without focusing on mistakes, but rather seeking progress through positive thinking and not negative ideas that hold us back and prevent us from moving forward.
The goals of the classes are:
🎼 To learn how to take care of your voice for good vocal hygiene and health.
🎼 To find your own tone and the colors of your voice to have different tools and apply them to various musical genres.
🎼 To enjoy making music and fully unleash your creativity.
🎼 To guide you in achieving the objectives you set for yourself.
No prior experience in singing or music is necessary!
Curriculum
I don't like to confine myself to one method, so I don't use a specific one for teaching. I adapt to the student's needs and combine different techniques I've learned throughout my career. If I had to choose one, it would be the Functional Voice Method, the Rabine method, which I believe best aligns with my understanding of how the voice works.
