Paweł Żyłowski
About
I am a graduate of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, Poland, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in classical guitar performance. My musical journey started at the age of 10, and I completed the full cycle of formal music education – from first- and second-level music schools to university-level studies.
Over the years, I have performed both as a soloist and as a band member. Highlights include a solo performance with the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic Orchestra and live performances with my band on national radio (Radio Gdańsk). I’ve also participated in masterclasses with renowned guitarists such as Marcin Dylla, Duo Melis, Marek Pasieczny, Mak Grgić, and Marek Nosal, and worked more extensively with Rotem Sivan – a jazz guitarist based in New York.
In addition to my performance background, I have strong teaching experience. I’ve completed multiple teaching internships at public music schools in Poland, focusing on classical guitar education. I also worked for over a year as a guitar teacher at a Yamaha private music school, where I taught both classical and electric guitar to students of various ages and skill levels.
As a teacher, I have over three years of experience working with students of all ages and levels. I always aim to create a relaxed and motivating learning atmosphere. My teaching is focused on the individual – adapting to the student’s goals, musical taste, and pace. Whether you want to build strong fundamentals, prepare for exams, or simply enjoy playing your favorite songs, I’ll help you get there with clarity and support.
I teach classical, electric, and acoustic guitar, and can incorporate music theory, rhythm training, sight reading, chords, or ear training – depending on your interests. Lessons are available in English or Polish.
