About

Brazilian guitarist and composer living in Sao Paulo. I've been playing guitar for the last 16 years and in those years I've had the honor of collaborating with amazing musicians of many different styles.

I started my musical journey at 11 in Rio de Janeiro, a couple of years after having my first live performance I had the privilege of becoming the student of legendary argentine guitarist Victor Biglione. After 5 years of learning from Victor I enrolled in the 12 week summer program at Berklee College of Music in Boston MA, and a while  after completing the program I moved from Rio to Sao Paulo, and enrolled into the Berklee Global Partner school: Souza Lima Faculdade de Música, graduating in 2019.

In my time in Sao Paulo (2016-Present), I've had the privilege of working as a guitarist, composer and arranger on projects ranging from jazz bands to full orchestral productions.

From 2023 to 2025 I worked as studio assistant, co producer and assistant composer to Beto Villares, one of Brazil's top film composers. During that time I had the honor of working with some of Brazil's most prominent musical artists like: Seu Jorge, Jonny Hooker, and Joao Gomes.

In early 2025, partering with fellow musician and teacher Caio Felliputt I established my own studio/school. The Guarás Music Lab.

I've been teaching since 2019 and it has always been an amazing experience to share knowledge with and also learn from my students.

Teaching Style

I believe that the most effective way to teach any subject is to develop a strong understanding of the basic concepts and build upon that fundamental knowledge. In my lessons I try to understand why my students are passionate about music, and then help them to build the fundamental skills they will need to improve efficiently without feeling burned out. True progress comes when students are enjoying the learning process.

I believe in a healthy combination of theory and practice, as both subjects are equally important, and also in developing the listening skills needed to really internalize everything that is played on the instrument.

The electric, acoustic or classical guitar lessons consist of: listening to examples, rhythm exercises, technical exercises, theory and playing examples. The focus of each lesson will depend on what the student wants to learn (Bossa Nova, Samba, other Brazilian Rhythms, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Pop). I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge and helping you progress!

Lessons can be taught in English or Brazilian Portuguese!
