Penelope Tang
About
Penelope Tang is a versatile artist, she began her journey as a demo singer and backing vocalist, captivating audiences with her expressive voice alongside renowned artists such as Albert Au Shui Keung and Louis Yuen Siu-cheung.
Her passion for alternative theatre has led her to perform in groundbreaking productions with artists such as Rimini Protokoll (Germany), exploring profound themes and merging music and storytelling in innovative ways in Asia and the Middle East. On top of that, she is also a professional jazz singer that has been captivating crowds in live venues and jazz clubs in Hong Kong, where her artistry shines.
Teaching Style
I started my teaching job in Hong Kong where I met my first group of students. They have been taking lessons with me for 10+ years til now.
I have been teaching online lessons since 2022 and have been teaching more than 900 lessons. My students love my lessons as they always find me supportive and patience.

Curriculum
My lessons are divided into 2 parts in general - 1) Warmup Exercise and 2) Singing Exercise.
Warmup exercises are like something we do before playing sports - we need to help our bodies coordinate better and get rid of injuries. That also applies to singing. It explains why we do both parts in every lessons, in a way to help you build up a healthy singing habit in a long run.
Then we will move on to the singing exercise and practice to sing a tune based on what we pick.
Music appreciation is also happening occasionally during the session. Some other learning materials like music videos are applied based on song choices.
Re the vocal techniques, there are some simple ways to build up your singing skills. Please consider it might take some time for a significant improvement. Nevertheless, it will help you set up good singing habits in a long run.
Looking forward to meet you in our lessons! For the trial lesson, I usually ask students to sing a song that they are familiar with, so I will understand their singing voices more, in a way to teach them how to practice better :) Be chilled and hope to see you!
