Pierre Lichtle

My name is Pierre Lichtle. Born in France but to English parents, I have found a healthy balance between my musical practice in France and my English customs. I have been playing the drums since I was 6 at the "Conservatoire de Blois".

At 18, I studied jazz for 3 years at the "IMFP' in Salon-de-Provence, France, from 2021 to 2024 and am currently studying at the "NGT" in Aix-en-Provence, France; a school based off of "Dante Agostini's" teaching method. At the moment, I teach in my in-house studio to French students (mainly beginners), and would like to branch out to more advanced students who wish to perfect their skills. Of course, I would happily accept beginners.

I have played numerous gigs in my region, but am currently focusing on building an online name for myself in the hopes of touring abroad.

Effective and mindful practice...

To practice effectively, we must first learn to accept that things take time and commitment. We must first build a trusting teacher/student relationship so we can reduce the number of questions you make ask yourself along the way. Having been mentored by teachers who learned alongside Dante Agostini, I was always taught that "less is more". Working on one page over and over again is more rewarding than getting lost over the endless sources on the internet.

Whether you are a beginner or a professional already, I will always imagine my students as if their aim was to go pro, so we are always on an even playing field.

I like to live, love and laugh, but lessons are made for learning and I am very "to the point". I avoid sugar coating anything, but will always encourage my students to push beyond what that they think they are capable of.
