Riley V Reynolds

My name is Riley ive been playing guitar for about 15 years. I started off my journey playing by ear learning basic songs until my father forced me into lessons. I was in band in high school where I did regular concert band playing trumpet and the I also did jazz band where I played guitar. I ended up falling in love with guitar and everything that has to do with music creation in general My first few lessons were with a local jazz cat by the name of Dave Smith, where i slowly progressed into playing the blues, rock, metal, prog, and any new genre I could find. Ive also taken lessons here on lessonface and king music in Kankakee Illinois. I love delving into new and exciting genres I can get my hands on so I can expand my musical knowledge. 

I then started playing with local metal and blues bands across the Kankakee area such as (Casym), and (Everyday People). While I was playing with Casym we won the Watseka festival event where they had 10 or so bands come out and perform and we won with only a 3 peice band. Moving around the united states a lot ive met a lot of excellent musicians and started playing with bands in the Sioux Falls area (Death Parade) (18th Origin) I then moved to Colorado and played with a few bands out there. (Ska Dayz) (Twisted). The whole time ive moved around ive never stopped taking lessons and learning everything I thought I should know from other talented musicians. I feel like even though your a great musician and know what ur doing theres always something to learn from other people.

I then moved back to Illinois where im here to stay. I started learning how to use abelton(DAW) and learning how to do drum programming and midi orchestration. Then learning how to mix, master, and music composition with Full Sail University. Delving into electronic music as a whole was a great experience for me and something that I think really improved my improvisational skills.  I also started going to school for my Bachelors in music production of science where I will graduate in November of 2025 at Full Sail University. I then did engineering for (Alienz) (Lil aj) out in the Mchenry county area trying to build my portfolio.

Lessons with me are going to get you were you need to be when you want to learn either midi drum programming, abelton or guitar playing. Ill teach you in a way where it'll be fun to learn what you need and get you on the right path. I think sometimes when you're learning something new you get burnt out when you get a lot of information thrown at you, but ill teach you in a way to where it'll be fun and informative the whole time. Will teach you notation, midi programming, music composition, abelton, how to read/write sheet music, and how to improvise on the spot.
