Rose Martinez
About
With over 20 years of teaching and performing experience, I have now joined the online educators force. As an educator I have taught in 4 different countries (Spain, Ireland, UK and Norway) to students of all ages, adapting my methods to the individual needs. This led me to obtain a Master in Special Education, in addition to my bachelor in Violin Performance and post-graduate in Music Pedagogy. I am passionate about pop and rock music, and publish my own arrangements and backing tracks.
As a performer, I have toured as a first violin/konzertmaster in Spain, Germany and USA (Carnegie Hall, NY) and performed with rock/pop bands at Isle of Wight Festival and studio collabs. I am also currently an online studio musician and music editor: creating arrangements, recording and producing music, and transcribing and editing sheet music.
Teaching Style
I believe the teacher has to adapt to the student, and not the way round. My experience and educational training allow me to create a personalized method and curriculum for each student.
I like to assess the expectations at the beginning, together with the student, and set middle and long term goals. I can offer tailor-made arrangements and curriculum for you to play the songs / pieces you dream to perform.
Curriculum
All needs are welcome. Feel free to talk about what you need(or not!) from music theory, music reading and specific learning needs.
I speak english, spanish, norwegian and catalan.
