I am a Bollywood dance instructor with over 10 years of training, performance, and choreography experience. My dance journey began in India, where I trained in Bollywood freestyle and fusion, drawing inspiration from modern Bollywood, light hip-hop elements, and expressive storytelling. Over the years, I have continued to practice, perform, and choreograph across different Bollywood styles including upbeat, romantic, expressive, and high-energy routines.
Professionally, I have performed at cultural festivals, community events, and college showcases, including the Pune Youth Arts Festival (2019) and the Atlanta Diwali Showcase (2023). I regularly choreograph short dance pieces for social platforms and private events, specializing in expressive Bollywood, romantic routines, and beginner-friendly Bollywood fusion.

I currently teach at DanceBreaks Academy in Georgia (2024–present), where I work with children and adults in beginner and intermediate Bollywood dance classes. I also offer private one-on-one lessons focused on confidence building, body movement, rhythm awareness, and enjoying dance without pressure. My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and structured, making it easy for students of all levels—including complete beginners—to learn and grow.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is friendly, patient, and structured to support students at every level—from complete beginners to dancers looking to polish their Bollywood-fusion skills. I focus heavily on clear breakdowns, musicality, and body awareness, so students feel confident and comfortable throughout the lesson. Every class begins with light warm-ups and rhythm exercises to help students ease into movement, build coordination, and connect with the music.
I teach choreography through a step-by-step method that makes learning fast, fun, and stress-free. Students can expect a combination of Bollywood freestyle, expressive movement, and simple fusion elements, along with guidance on expressions, hand gestures, flow, and performance quality. I emphasize understanding the “feel” of a song, not just memorizing steps, so students can truly enjoy the dance and express themselves openly.

As a teacher, my strengths include working patiently with beginners, helping students build confidence, and making sure every class feels motivating and encouraging. I customize each lesson based on the student’s goals—whether they want to learn a specific choreography, improve grace and coordination, prepare for a performance, or simply dance for joy and fitness. My priority is to create a positive, supportive learning environment where students develop at their own pace and leave each class feeling accomplished and inspired.

Curriculum

My teaching method focuses on breaking choreography into simple, clear steps so students can learn comfortably at their own pace. Each lesson includes a short warm-up, step-by-step teaching, practice with counts, and then dancing to music with confidence and expression.

Since Bollywood fusion does not use formal textbooks, I provide all necessary learning materials myself. Students receive practice videos or step breakdowns after class when needed. I also recommend keeping a small playlist of favorite Bollywood songs, a comfortable space to practice, and a mirror if available.

I tailor every lesson to the student’s level and goals so they can enjoy the process and see steady improvement.
