Ross Venneberg
About
I am a trumpet player, conductor, and music educator living in Indianapolis. I recently served as the Director of Instrumental Activities and Visiting Assistant Professor of Music at Franklin College for three years. I frequently perform throughout Indianapolis with groups such as the Indianapolis Symphony, Carmel Symphony, Terre Haute Symphony, and the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic. I have performed during the summers at the Aspen Music Festival, Miami Music Festival, Spoleto Festival USA, and have toured abroad in Austria, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Slovakia. I presented master classes/recitals at colleges, universities, conservatories, and music festivals throughout the United States and Asia. I earned degrees from Saint Mary's College of California, (B.A.), Manhattan School of Music (M.M.), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (M.M.), and the University of Washington (D.M.A.).
Teaching Style
I structure my lessons around the goals of each student. I do not have a one-size-fits-all way of teaching all my students. Whatever your goals on the trumpet may be, I will build a lesson-plan for you to help you achieve them.
