About

I hold a Conservatory Diploma in Classical Percussion from Bruno Maderna Conservatory in Italy and a BA in Music Performance from Morley College, London. I have deep knowledge of ABRSM and Trinity exam syllabuses across all grades, and have achieved a 100% pass rate with every single exam student I have prepared.
I have over 10 years of professional teaching experience working with students aged 6 to adult across multiple schools in London including Music Mission, TECH Education and Junior Jam. I teach drums, classical percussion, piano and music theory at all levels. Alongside teaching I maintain an active performing career, having played with professional orchestras across the UK and Italy. I bring that real world professional musicianship into every single lesson, giving students an insight into what it truly means to be a musician.

Teaching Style

My lessons are structured but flexible — I adapt completely to each student’s learning pace, personality and goals. For beginners I focus on building solid foundations in technique, posture and rhythm reading. For intermediate and advanced students I push creativity, musicality and performance confidence. I always make lessons engaging and enjoyable while maintaining clear measurable progress.

Curriculum

My teaching method is built around three principles: solid technique, musical understanding, and consistent performance practice. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach based on their age, goals and learning style — whether that’s a child picking up sticks for the first time or an adult returning to music after years away.
For drums and percussion I begin with posture, grip and basic rudiments before building into rhythmic reading, coordination exercises and full kit playing. For music theory I follow a structured progression from note reading and rhythm through to harmony, ear training and composition. For electronic music production I use GarageBand as a creative tool to develop compositional thinking alongside technical skills.
I use a combination of established method books and custom materials depending on the student’s level and goals. For drum students I recommend Alfred’s Drum Method and Stick Control by George Lawrence Stone as foundational texts. For music theory I follow the ABRSM and Trinity grade syllabuses, which provide clear structured progression for students working towards examinations. For more advanced students I incorporate real orchestral and ensemble repertoire drawn from my own professional performance experience.
Lessons are always goal-oriented. Every student knows what they are working towards and why. Progress is tracked regularly and I encourage all students to perform — whether in a recital, exam or informal setting — as performance confidence is as important as technical ability.
