About
I am dedicated to guiding you on your musical journey, ensuring you reach your fullest potential with precision and creativity.
New to Colorado Springs, my family and I moved here in Spring of 2025 in pursuit of career opportunities and a new adventure. I am excited to join this community and build a thriving studio of violinists. I have been teaching privately for 25 years.
Prior to our move, I was an active musician and educator in Bend Oregon for 15 years. I served as co-concert mistress of the Central Oregon Symphony, first violinist in the Dove String Quartet, and Orchestra Director for the Central Oregon Youth Orchestra. For 11 years I also worked as a general music teacher for grades k-5, teaching a robust music program with 650+ students. This program included general music, keyboard, theater, orchestra, xylophone, and choir electives.
I have extensive experience teaching music to children of all ages and hold a Master degree in Music Education from Kent State University.
While completing a BA at the University of Miami I frequently played professionally with orchestras and ensembles. I have performed with Andrea Bocelli, Ron Raines, Cee Lo Green, Paul Oakenfold, Mark O’Conner, and at the 2008 Latin Grammy Tribute.
Teaching Style
I teach using a traditional approach, focusing on developing a solid technical foundation through scales, etudes, music theory and repertoire. I blend and adapt various methods and philosophies to individual student needs and learning styles.
