About

Sebastian Rider is an accomplished singer, guitarist, songwriter, and performer whose career has spanned major festivals, world-renowned stages, and collaborations with music icons. Formerly known as Bluhauz/Blue House and the frontman of the acclaimed Berklee-born rock band Stone Giant, Sebastian has built a reputation for musical excellence rooted in technical mastery, artistic depth, and real-world industry experience.

Sebastian’s career took off during his time at the Berklee College of Music, where he majored in songwriting and quickly stood out as a dedicated rock musician in a predominantly jazz-focused environment. A defining moment came when he met his lifelong guitar hero, Jimmy Page, eventually performing Led Zeppelin music for Page at Berklee’s 2014 Commencement Concert—an honor that showcased Sebastian’s musical direction, arranging skills, and commanding stage presence.

As frontman of Stone Giant, Sebastian toured internationally, recorded professionally, and performed at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals. The band’s self-titled album received praise from Rolling StoneBillboard, and Blues Rock Review, and opened the door to appearances at Lollapalooza Chile and Lollapalooza Argentina, sharing stages with major artists such as Gorillaz and Tame Impala. Stone Giant’s explosive momentum led to additional touring, major press, and a dedicated fan base across South America and the U.S.

After leaving the band to pursue a more blues-driven artistic path, Sebastian launched a successful solo career. His debut album (2021) earned recognition from BillboardSpotifyClassic Rock Magazine, and was named one of the Top 20 Albums of 2021 by Blues Rock Review. The record showcased his evolving sound—blues-influenced guitar work, soulful vocals, and songwriting focused on self-growth and spiritual themes.

Sebastian has continued to expand his artistic footprint through high-profile performances and industry involvement. He has been invited to perform at iconic venues including Whisky A Go GoThe Viper Room, and the NAMM Show, and in 2023 joined Joe Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea cruise lineup. In 2024, he became a Recording Academy GRAMMY® Voting Member, with his work considered for nominations in both the 2024 and 2025 Grammy Awards.

Beyond the stage, Sebastian has worked as a concert promoter, producer, and entrepreneur—co-founding LoSweet Records and collaborating with artists across genres. He has also curated and launched his own festival, the Sebastian Rider Fest, debuting in 2024 in Hollywood to a packed audience and returning in 2025.

Now based in Los Angeles, Sebastian performs regularly across California, Arizona, Nevada, and beyond, while completing production of his highly anticipated second album. Recent singles such as “Get It On,” “I Got Mine,” and “Running” highlight his continued growth as a songwriter and performer, with new music and tours planned throughout 2025.

As an instructor, Sebastian brings students not only technical skill, but true industry insight—from international touring and studio production, to professional performance, creative development, and career guidance. His approach blends strong musical fundamentals with real-world experience, helping students build confidence, artistry, and a deep connection to their craft.

With a career defined by passion, resilience, and world-class achievements, Sebastian Rider offers aspiring musicians a rare and inspiring combination of mentorship and expertise.

Teaching Style

Sebastian Rider’s teaching approach is immersive, personalized, and grounded in real-world musical experience. Drawing from his background as a touring artist, songwriter, producer, and performer, Sebastian builds each lesson around the student’s goals, strengths, and creative interests. No two students learn the same way—and Sebastian’s method is designed to meet each musician exactly where they are and guide them toward where they want to be.

Sebastian teaches songwriting, music production, guitar, vocals, music theory, artist development, and music business, offering a comprehensive, professional education for both beginners and experienced artists. Every lesson is hands-on and action-focused: instead of simply talking about concepts, students immediately apply them through exercises, creative assignments, and practical musical tasks.

A core part of Sebastian’s methodology includes studying well-known songs and artists—breaking down structure, melody, harmony, lyrics, arrangement, and production techniques. By understanding how great music is made, students develop the tools to create their own. Whether writing original material, developing a unique vocal sound, learning guitar parts, producing tracks, or building a professional artistic identity, students gain both technical knowledge and creative independence.

Sebastian also offers guidance in the music industry and artist development, helping students understand promotion, branding, performance preparation, and long-term career strategy. His lessons empower musicians not just to play or write—but to grow confidently as complete artists.

Above all, Sebastian’s teaching philosophy centers on inspiration, discipline, and joy. He believes music should be both expressive and skillful, and that every student has the potential to achieve excellence with the right guidance and dedication. Through custom-tailored instruction and an environment of encouragement, Sebastian helps musicians unlock their creativity and become the best version of themselves—artistically, technically, and professionally.
