Teaching Style
I have been teaching guitar to students for over 20 years. I have been lead guitar in several bands and I have a bachelors degree in music performance.
I have been teaching guitar since I was studying music at the University of Massachusetts. I started out teaching in the homes of private students. I did this throughout college and when I graduated college in 1998 I continued to teach students. I recently won "Teacher of the Month" at a local music school where I have been teaching for over 5 years in Southern Oregon.
I was lead guitar in the band, Slow Children, where I toured all over the eastern United States. I was also chosen to perform as lead guitarist, Pete Townshend for the band, The Who Show. I currently record and write my own music under my name, Seymour Ceike.
Curriculum
I encourage students in a positive and calm manner. I'm kind, creative and fun in the classroom. I have experience teaching all ages.
I would encourage you to look at the book "NoBull Music Theory For Guitarists" by James Shipway
