About

I am a professional cellist with extensive international experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral principal. I was the cellist in the Castalian String Quartet and toured internationally with them and other ensembles. I am also the cellist of the Wigmore Soloists.  I have performed with ensembles including the Munich Philharmonic, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Opera Covent Garden, and Amsterdam Sinfonietta, and I regularly collaborate with distinguished musicians such as Stephen Hough, Lars Vogt, and the Belcea Quartet.

I teach advanced students, conservatoire applicants, and committed amateurs, focusing on technique, musicality, audition preparation, and repertoire from Baroque to contemporary works. My teaching draws on training at the Yehudi Menuhin School, Vienna University of Music, HMTMH, and mentorship with Steven Isserlis at Prussia Cove.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is personalized and structured, combining clear guidance with encouragement and inspiration. I aim to help students build technical mastery, confidence in performance, and a deep, lifelong connection to music. Lessons are tailored to your goals, whether preparing for competitions, auditions, or simply exploring the cello’s expressive potential.
