Stella Anastasiou
About
Hello! I’m Stella Anastasiou, a viola performer and music educator from Greece. I graduated with distinction from the University of Macedonia, specializing in Viola Performance, and hold an official teaching certification.
Through university-led educational programs, I’ve gained hands-on experience teaching music in schools and workshops, discovering that guiding students is both a joy and an artistic challenge.
As a performer, I’ve collaborated with ensembles such as the Vienna Youth Symphony Orchestra (Wiener Jeunesse Orchester), the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra in Athens (ELSON), and MOYSA Symphony Orchestra in Thessaloniki, appearing in great venues in Europe and Greece.
For me, music is storytelling through sound—a way to express emotion and imagination. I look forward to sharing this passion and helping students grow on their own musical journey.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is student-centered and encouraging, focusing on helping each student find their own musical voice. I combine technical precision with musical expression, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere where students feel inspired to explore, ask questions, and enjoy their progress. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, I adapt my approach to your needs, always aiming to make learning music both enriching and enjoyable
Curriculum
In my lessons, I draw inspiration from the Suzuki and Kodály approaches, focusing on ear training, musicality, and a natural connection with the instrument.
For intermediate and advanced students, I incorporate technical studies by Ševčík, Kreutzer, and Mazas to build strength, flexibility, and expressive control.
I also enjoy including chamber music and orchestral repertoire, helping students develop ensemble awareness and musical communication.
