Stephanie Clark

I am a clarinettist and bass clarinet specialist with 10 years of teaching experience. As a performer I have a versatile background, having performed traditional orchestral, opera and chamber music as well as contemporary music, musical theatre, film recording and pop music shows. I'm currently living in London where I freelance professionally with groups including the BBC Symphony Orchestra (2025) and Hapax Music (2024-present) and I hold a Bachelors and Graduate Performance Diploma from Boston Conservatory in Massachusetts (2014, 2016) and a Masters in Music from Trinity Laban Conservatoire in the United Kingdom (2023).

I previously was a regular member of Boston New Music Initative in Massachusetts where I was a bass clarinet soloist and clarinetist, and freelanced professionally throughout New England including with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra and other orchestral, chamber and musical theatre groups.

I've been teaching clarinet and woodwinds for over 10 years. I have taught privately as well as held positions at private arts school Hillside School in Massachusetts from 2017-2020 as well as North London Music School in the UK where I started in 2025. I always consider each student’s individual interests and incorporate those into my teaching, and am happy to explore and support diverse musical interests. Lessons should not only be about developing musical skills, but also enjoying the process. I have taught students across all ages and levels.
