About

Hi, I’m Stephanie, and music is fun! I am a passionate and dedicated piano and voice instructor with nearly a decade of experience working with young musicians. For seven years, I served as the vocal facilitator for a performing arts program, where I guided students through vocal preparation for musical theater productions, recitals, and both general and specialized auditions, including high school placement.

Currently, I teach beginner piano and voice at a music school on Long Island, where I continue to prepare students for performances, auditions, and NYSSMA (New York State Music Association).

I believe that music is a powerful form of self-expression. I strive to create a supportive and inspiring environment where each student can explore their unique musical path, whether at the piano or through song in addition to growing both technically and creatively.

Watching my students gain confidence and fall in love with music is the most rewarding part of what I do. Each student has their own musical journey and I am here to help them drive it!

Teaching Style

I like to create a positive, nurturing environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and experimenting. Whether it's through praise, gentle correction, or offering constructive feedback, the goal is to help students build confidence in their abilities.

Every student will have their own strengths, weaknesses. Each lessons will be made to fit the individual and be personalized just for them, whether that means focusing on technical skills for one student, or emotional expression through singing for another. For piano lessons, this might include working on specific fingering techniques, while for singing, it could involve building breath control or pitch accuracy. There will also be goals that we will be working towards.

I like for my students to feel comfortable, have fun and not worry about perfection. I do what i can to find many way to explain all I am trying to convey, which may include videos, worksheets, recordings and apps that connect to the lesson.

I am not looking for instant perfection but open and willing hearts.
