He does a great job and covering music theory as well as chords, strumming, scales, and more. His musical background is very well rounded and he uses great teaching techniques to get all parts of the brain involved. Highly recommend!

Stephen has definitely provided me an insightful way of analyzing songs and for writing my own music myself. He is really helpful and gives you many eye opening advices and tools that encourage you to develop your artistry. Furthermore, he provides a friendly and non judegemental atmosphere, which is essential for a student. I totally recommend him.
Very good! Stephen creates a very comfortable setting to try your best in.
Super helpful!
Really helps the learning process with concise teaching abilities (e.g. Personal associations)
Fantastic teacher with an actual process. A great progression of exercises that has increased my range, intonation and relaxation while singing in the first few weeks! If you are looking for someone with an actual process instead of just "lets try this exercise", Stephen is your man
Stephen is a really good teacher. He has taught me warm ups and that my voice is capable of doing more than I thought it was. Highly recommend him as a teacher.

Very personable. I think he got me in a second. Great work!
Stephan is so far a pleasure to work with. Great pleasure to work with!
I had been singing for over a decade before taking my first lesson with Stephen. I had never had a singing lesson before and was unsure how they would go or even how much they would help me. Within the first five minutes I knew I had made the correct decision to go with Stephen. He broke the voice down in a way that made total sense to me, and allowed me to focus on the individual parts of the voice before putting them all together. After just 3 lessons, I am already starting to feel a difference in breath support and confidence in hitting softer notes, two things I have always struggled with. I fully intend to continue working with Stephen to grow as both a singer and an actor. Would highly recommend to anyone from beginner to professional.
I learned alot on the first hour lesson. Stephen made it easy for me to grasp the basic fundamental of song writting.
Wish I met Stephen sooner. Can't wait to see him again! His lesson proved valuable, and I look forward to his teachings. Korinne
Stephen is a very thorough singing teacher. After 5 lessons, I know so much more about singing than I even thought there was to it. I already feel like I improved a tremendous amount, and I have fun in his classes. My range increased, my breath management improved, and the quality of my voice is also much nicer. I can only recommend Stephen.
Great teacher Stephen is a great teacher and wonderful guy. He is thoughtful, articulate, creative, reliable and passionate. I would highly recommend him for any of the services he offers.
I booked my first 3 shows! I started my vocal journey with Stephen just about two years ago, from scratch. Under his professional guidance, I have already landed my first 3 regional theater shows, AND my first major role of Val in "A Chorus Line"! Stephen's lessons are always fun, efficient, and he has a keen sense on how to best help me in my professional growth. As a dancer who sings, I look forward to seeing what lies ahead in my vocal training and career!
Excellent - transformed my voice I've been studying with Stephen for almost 3 years and in that time my voice has developed immensely. He is in the business so he truly understand the market and helps prepare you for auditions. Through customized exercises to fit my needs I find I can now sing songs I once thought were "out of my range". Very flexible and available teacher, who can also help with acting and career consulting.
An Excellent Source IF YOU REALLY WANT TO LEARN HOW TO SING! About me: I am an actor, dancer, writer, choreographerâ¦an artist; as well as an acting teacher and coach. It's been a life long dream to sing and sing well. I was cast in the chorus as a kid a couple times, but really had no clue about my voice; how it worked or what to do with it. As far as I knew/experienced I was an average to bad singer, with little to no vocal talent. I thought singing was a "God-given gift". You either had "it" or you didn't. I knew my Dad could sing, but my mom was a terrified singer and somewhat terrifying to hear. I thought I was somewhere in between, like my eyes, half blue, like Mom, half hazel, like Dad. And nothing I could do about it. Until I met Stephen... About Stephen: Working with Stephen regularly has changed all of this. Stephen doesn't just magically "get you to sing". HE TEACHES YOU HOW YOUR VOICE WORKS. He helps you to develop what he calls "an intimate relationship with YOUR voice". This knowledge literally takes away the mystery and "magic" of singing. He systematically guides you through a very CLEAR PROCESS that unlocks YOUR voice. And he empowers you to become YOUR OWN TEACHER. Stephen has taught me that MY VOICE IS A MUSCLE, JUST LIKE ANY MUSCLE IN MY BODY. That it can be trained, refined and conditioned, just like any muscle in my body. He got me to believe this through my OWN EXPERIENCE that when I put the work in I WILL GET RESULTS. Just like when I work on my physical coordination and strengthening in Ballet class, my jumps and turns improve; getting higher, more precise, faster, lighter, whatever the case may be, when I work with Stephen on my voice, my range grows, the quality of my vocal timbre gets richer and fuller, there's more ring and resonance; EVERYTHING IMPROVES. Stephen's clear technique has given me great confidence in my ability to sing and to continue to improve as a singer. I highly recommend him to anyone, from absolute beginner to pro. I am truly positive you will be happy with the results. And enjoy the process. About Stephen's Character: Stephen is a consummate professional. Extremely reliable, respectful and kind. If I had children of my own, I would feel 100% comfortable sending them to him. I have recommended Stephen to several of my own acting students, as well as fellow dancers and strangers on the occasion that the topic arises. Because I believe in his method and I respect and appreciate the way in which he offers his knowledge and embodies his words. Stephen is Passionate, Inspired and Inspiring when he's sharing his work with his students. You can tell from his conviction, brilliant insights and compassion that he created his method from his own triumphs and failures, breakthroughs and frustrations as a singer and singing student. It seems he's spent his whole life learning what he's now refined into a very clear method that he can impart to ANY eager student in a very short amount of time. I feel very fortunate and thankful to have found such a gifted teacher.
Great teacher Stephen is a great teacher, actor, and singer, in addition to being a wonderful guy. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in any of his varied services.
