About

I’m a composer, producer and sound designer based in London, UK, with a passion for teaching music production for film, TV and theater, orchestral mockups, and music theory. My work spans film, TV, and musical theater, with more than 30 credits on IMDb. My debut EP, ‘Wonder Wasteland’, was released in 2024, and my first musical theater project is currently in development.

I offer lessons in music composition, film scoring, and music technology, with a focus on creating music scores for film, TV, video games and theater. I primarily use Steinberg Cubase, along with a range of sound libraries from SoundPaint, Native Instruments, Spitfire Audio and more.

Teaching Style

My teaching approach is friendly, highly personalized and adaptable to each student’s unique background and goals. We’ll start by discussing your current knowledge, challenges, and what you hope to achieve in both your short and long-term goals. Lessons can be tailored to include a mix of lecture-based and practical learning, depending on your needs and preferences.

I offer discounts for purchasing multiple lessons and subscription discounts. New students can also enjoy a completely free 15-minute trial!

Curriculum

We’ll start by identifying the areas best suited to your specific needs. The curriculum may include some or all of the following:

- Music Theory

- Music Technology (with a focus on Steinberg Cubase, see below)

- Soundtrack Scoring for Film, TV, and video games

- Music Composition and Production for Musical Theater

To participate in lessons, you’ll need a DAW. I use Steinberg Cubase, but many DAWs are similar enough for us to collaborate and apply the principles. If you use Cubase, we can delve deeply into this feature-rich DAW, utilizing all the tools it offers specifically for film composers and musicians in general.

There is no requirement to purchase additional sound libraries; I’d be happy to share my experience with completely free (and completely legal!) quality sound libraries that provide first-timers with an expansive sound palette to start their musical journey. No textbooks are mandatory, but I'd love to recommend the books that really helped me along the way.

Credentials & Affiliations

My music education is diverse, with over 20 years of experience gained through self-directed study, one-on-one learning, and, most importantly, fieldwork—writing and producing music for various projects.

From the multi-million viewed The Russian Sleep Experiment on YouTube to the Amazon Prime thriller The August Club, my distinctive voice has earned accolades including a Best Score nomination for House on Water (short, drama) and the Royal Television Society winner A Very Uncommon Christmas (short, horror comedy). My music has been featured at prestigious festivals like Comic-Con, Rome International, and Aubagne International.

I believe that becoming a professional musician doesn’t necessarily require a college or university degree. Music education should be as accessible as possible, and I’d love to share my experience on my musical journey so you may choose your own path for your journey!
