Hello! With over 28 years in the music industry, I am an experienced Trumpet, Vocal, Piano and Music Theory (Composition, Orchestration & Arrangement) teacher and graduated with distinction for a Masters degree in music. B.Mus.. MMus.(UCT). 

I have 10 years experience performing in cruise ship orchestras playing broadway musicals, cabaret shows and accompanying pop artists from Las Vegas performing the greatest hits of all time. I have performed with members of Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington’s band and Rick Braun to name a few celebrity musicians.

I teach students of all ages and have 20 years experience teaching at Primary Schools and High Schools.

I am an expert jazz and popular music professional with a strong classical background as well as advanced composition, orchestration and arranging experience. I am dedicated to nurturing my students' abilities, adapting my teaching to their individual goals and aspirations. 

I am passionate about teaching and building a good rapport with my students. I hope any student who works with me will find my lessons inspiring, fun and effective! I am an empathetic person who really cares about each individual I work with.

I teach my students from a positive frame of reference and keep the classes exciting and engaging by teaching the student to play their favorite songs accompanied by backing tracks I personalize for them so that they may practice at home, in their own time, making music practice fun but also filled with growth and development keeping their goals in mind.

For my more advanced students I offer Composition, Arrangement and Orchestration lessons as well as guidance in Music Production using Computer Programs (DAWs) such as Ableton Live.
