Hello there! I'm Suzanne :)
Finally understanding your voice and being able to sing the songs you’ve always dreamed of is THE BEST feeling! I’ve made it my mission to demystify the voice and put you in control so what once seemed intimating or unreachable, is now at your fingertips. As someone that uses my voice on stage, on tour and in the recording studio I know first hand the techniques a singer needs for a voice free of restriction that sounds it's best.
I had vocal training for years that left me mystified about how to achieve the sound I wanted. I longed for a wider range and more flexibility in my voice, a better vibrato, but no teacher was able to able to help me fully realize those skills, it was always on me to understand what they were telling me, but what they taught left so much unaddressed and I was left confused, frustrated and disappointed with my voice and thought that you must have to be born with the ability to sing the way I wanted to, that I was just unlucky. It wasn't until I began studying voice technique on my own that I began to understand the mechanics of the voice, how to create the sounds I wanted and most interestingly of all, how my personality and personal approach was blocking my results. I realized you can transform your voice, singing is a skill that can be broken down and taught...and that was so empowering to discover!
I've gone on this journey myself and guided many others to success in the last 10 years. It takes being patient, being brave and staying committed, but you can achieve your singing goals, myself and my students are living proof. I'd love to guide you along the way :)
Teaching Style
I take a personalized approach with each student. My teaching style is science based but I break down the concepts and techniques into relatable and approachable sounds and explanations.
I identify your desired areas for improvement, short and long term goals and create lesson plans and homework to move you efficiently towards success.
We work on songs so the techniques always have a practical application and you'll understand what each exercise is for and why you're doing them. We'll take the big lofty goals off the pedestal and you'll be singing in ways you hadn't thought possible.
I let you guide me your desired sound, songs and vocal styles and we'll build you a repertoire of songs you love that you can sing with confidence.
I believe in all my students and I'm rooting for their success all the way. I'm always your biggest cheerleader.
Credentials & Affiliations
Suzanne gained her BA in Theatre Arts at the renowned London Studio Centre in the UK. She was the proud winner of the "Shelia O'Neil Award" for best triple threat her graduating year.
As a working professional, you can hear her voice and songs on TV shows including: F is for Family, Locke and Key (Netflix), Walker (CW) and Feature film Lovers Retreat.
Suzanne is also a recording and touring artist with her band released her debut album in 2022 to critical acclaim.
Suzanne has been teaching voice for 8 years, working with children and adults of all abilities. She is the creator of two online singing courses "Sing High Notes with Power! A Masterclass in Belting" and "Singing for Beginners".
Her passion as a teacher is to demystify the voice and give the student the confidence on knowing how to use their instrument. Always learning from her professional singing work, she's able to give students real world knowledge for those interested in embarking on a career using their voice.
