I am now on my third lesson. Each lesson has been so full of useful information. I have been looking for an instructor for years that has the ability to craft lessons to my needs and she does the job perfectly. She is amazing and knows exactly what you need to learn to better your music.

I learned so much in just one lesson. I'll review again after I take more lessons but we're off to an amazing start.

Nice, helpful, great teacher

I've been taking lessons with Taylor since August 2019 and I've had nothing but a fantastic experience with her. I started out not knowing how to play the piano at all and thought that only someone who's learned the piano for decades could ever write their own song. To this day I've composed many original pieces, made my own arrangements of songs I love, written songs purely by ear, and can sight read without a sweat. I can remember during my first lesson I was worried that I was only going to be playing nursery rhymes and Taylor's response was, "If you're going to learn piano as an adult, you should only be trying to learn/play songs that you actually want to play. Otherwise what's the point?" And that's what I've been doing ever since, learning about things that interest me and projects that I'm excited about. This method sums up Taylor's teaching style perfectly and it's why I look forward to each lesson. Regardless of what kind of lesson experience you're looking for (composition, song writing, music theory, just learning the piano) you'll have a great experience with Taylor! She's the best!

Taylor's approach to teaching has lead to me learning more about music composition and theory while working more on music, hitting all the goals I had hoped for when signing up; her first question was "what do you want to learn?", and she focused on creating a class structure that helped me do that in a way that's engaging to me, asking me to pull out songs I like so we can break them down or giving writing assignments to help drive my work and create accountability. I cannot recommend Taylor more. She will help you better understand music and hit the goals you ask her to help you hit.

I've been taking songwriting lessons with Taylor for just about a year, although we've dipped into quite a few other topics along the way—Taylor is really great about pivoting with me as I try to figure out what exactly I want to pursue musically, and not just pivoting but actively introducing me to new things, helping me figure out what will suit my goals & interests, etc. Before starting lessons with her, I only wrote lyrics and thought I'd never be able to understand the relationship between vocal melody & musical accompaniment that seemed to come so naturally to others, but she completely demystified it for me and helped me finish my first full song. She gives really helpful explanations, is super patient with lots of questions, and creates a supportive, low-pressure learning environment. I don't always manage to finished what I planned to between lessons, but I always look forward to lessons with Taylor knowing we'll find something fun, interesting, and useful to work on anyway. Super grateful to have found her and highly recommend!

I didn't know anything about music or any music theory but taylor made it super easy to understand!! I've had couple lessons so far and she is very nice and makes our lessons very simple and low-stakes so I am never nervous for my lessons. I am almost done with my first song for Piano!!

Taylor was very supportive, patient and flexible instructor. She consistently comes up with creative and fun lesson plans to keep the student engaged. Her consistency in communication and consciousness of student wellbeing was always really reassuring and she was always willing to meet me wherever I was at in a particular skill. So no matter where you are in your musical journey I am sure that Taylor can be of assistance, perhaps in ways you may not expect (that certainly was the case for me). All in all, Taylor comes highly recommended.

Taylor is an extremely knowledgable and experienced composer and teacher. She shares that knowledge and experience freely with her students, and she does it with empathy, patience, understanding and compassion. She's been where you are, learning what you're learning, and she remembers what it's like to learn things for the first time. I feel like I couldn't ask for a better guide on my path to becoming a composer. I can't recommend Taylor highly enough!

You can’t go wrong with Taylor as your teacher. She’s an exceptionally creative and talented composer (a bonafide pro) with all the wisdom, humor, patience, and empathy to meet her students right where they are and guide them on their path forward. No need to keep searching :)

I just finished my third lesson with Taylor. We are doing piano / digital music production hybrid course, but we are starting with learning to read sheet music as we both agree it will be a very useful skill to have down the line when I start doing my own compositions...even if my focus is digital production. She is a fantastic teacher, explains concepts clearly, and is patient with my slow learning curve. She also very professionally handles student progress notes, and always emails copies of all relevant notes on each lesson for easy review and practice. I'm very pleased to have started my journey into the world of music with her as my guide. Five stars.

This was my first lesson, so it’’s a little difficult to critique; however, Taylor was patient with me, and ,knowledgeable, interesting and informative. I like that.

Highly recommended! Taylor is a fantastic musician and a great teacher. She was very patient with my slow learning rate due to my lack of consistent practice, and was extremely flexible and accommodating to busy schedule during the school year. She designed the curriculum to address the areas I was falling behind on or were noted to my be weak spots. Instead of just learning to play the piano, I also got ear-trained, taught to read sheet music, and identify the quirks in different kinds of music. Above all, she is super-friendly; and so easy to talk to and be friends with in general. As an added bonus, she's got a lovely cat that you can pet on every visit. :)

Taylor is an amazing teacher! She really knows how to break down complicated subjects for people like me who have no idea how music theory works and why it's important. My class is divided into theory and actual use of the software which is really a great way to learn the concepts and apply them yourself. We also had a lot of fun jamming out to little songs we made!

I had given up hope on ever learning to play the piano until I started learning from Taylor. She's just the best!

Taylor is great at teaching online! Usual my online lesson are hard to understand but she is great at explaining different composition techniques. I have learning alot about how to write music and music theory even tho I was begginer but now i feel better!

I had never taken piano lessons or music lessons in my life, but I wanted to finally start learning but was worried about starting so late (I'm in my 40s now). But Taylor has been so kind and helpful, I can now play a couple songs! She is very good at explaining things clearly and in different ways, great teacher, I highly reccomend!

Taylor is great at figuring out how I, personally, need to learn. I don't feel like she just has a blanket lesson plan for everyone.

I had waaaay to much fun learning from Taylor, she explained ableton in a great way and now I can write songs and perform with it! I'm so happy would totally suggest taylor to be a teacher. Even if you are just starting out!

My daughter has declared that Taylor is the best teacher ever. She loved her keyboarding lesson and can’t wait to learn more with Taylor!

My 11-year-old daughter is really shy, so I wasn't entirely convinced that online piano lessons would even work. However, Taylor is so personable... and has a methodology that gets students playing their favorite songs right away that now my daughter can't wait until her next lesson. I'm thrilled!

I've been studing logic with taylor for a while now and am so happy i can use it to write my own music, she is very good at explaining things and technology and now i am much more happy working on the computer i would recomend

I've been working with Taylor for several months now and have enjoyed it very much! She has been helping me with Cubase and composition. Musicians need to collaborate and share ideas and I'm grateful I've had the opportunity to do that with her. She is well organized, easy to get along with, and has an impressive background. Working with Taylor has been one of the best investments I have made for my personal development in the musical world. She has helped compose music for a play, has helped keep me calm when I feel like I am overwhelmed or overthinking my objectives and keeps me leveled. We have also worked on analyzing scores from classical to modern. I was very pleased that Taylor offered Skype lessons, but I was a bit worried whether I could learn in this format or not. To my surprise, it was exceptionally easy and rewarding! Currently, Taylor and I are working on a piece that I am composing for my short film. Of course, as a newbie, I knew nothing about Apple’s Logic Pro X when I began, but Taylor took her time to explain just how the software worked, as well as the techniques I needed for scoring my film. I highly recommend Taylor and the very convenient Skype format! You won’t be disappointed.

I was really nervous about my performance of an original pop-song for my concert coming up in school. Things weren't working out with my previous teacher and that's when I found Taylor! She guided me through pairing the music with my lyrics, but in a way that really made me feel confident in what I was making! Taylor is super fun and easy to work with and when we weren't writing... we were cracking dad jokes! XD I performed the song at my school concert and I couldn't have been happier with the result! I definitely recommend Taylor and want to work with her soon again :3

I had never written music before IN MY LIFE! And I was so nervous! But Taylor was so AMAZING!! She explained the basics of music theory and harmony in a way that was easy for me to understand! And with her help, I was able to write some beautiful piano solos!! She also helped me figure out how to record them so I could record them with my friends and post my solos online. They are so good!!! :D And I am so proud of myself!!!! I highly recommend Taylor!! She was so helpful and nice and sooooo funny!! I'm so glad I got to work with her and I will definitely come back again! Thanks TayTay!!!!!
