About

Hi, I’m Teacher Tina—a certified ESL instructor with 10 years of experience and 4,000 + live online classes under my belt. I hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate and a degree in Journalism, which means I pair rock-solid language pedagogy with professional writing know-how. My classroom is a stage: I weave storytelling, puppets, and live ukulele accompaniment into every lesson so that learners stay curious, laugh often, and remember what they’ve learned.

My teaching approach is multi-sensory and play-based. We sing phonics songs, act out new vocabulary, and use real-world projects—like making mini travel guides—to turn passive knowledge into active skill. Lessons are personalized through quick diagnostics and goal-tracking sheets that I share with families after each class.

Because I’m a polyglot (I currently speak four languages) and an avid traveler, I’m passionate about helping children build cross-cultural awareness alongside clear, confident English. Whether your child joins a “Storybook Adventure” reading course, a conversation club, or an “English through Ukulele” workshop, they can expect a warm, inclusive space where mistakes are celebrated as stepping-stones and progress is measured in smiles as well as skills.

What Our Classes Feel Like

Think of each lesson as a mini-adventure. We start with a story, song, or silly prop that hooks your child’s imagination. Then we discover new words and ideas through play, practice them in quick games and drills, and finally perform—sharing a mini-presentation, skit, or quiz show. I adjust the speed, hints, and extra challenges in real time so every learner feels stretched but never stuck. The result is a warm, “mistakes-welcome” space where curiosity leads the way, confidence grows with every ukulele strum, and progress is easy to see (and celebrate!) for both kids and parents.

Curriculum

How We’ll Learn Together

Hey future English explorer! In our classes we’ll learn by doing:

  1. Warm-up – a quick game or song to wake up our brains.

  2. Learn – I show you new words and grammar with pictures and stories.

  3. Practice – we act, draw, sing, and play to use the new language.

  4. Create & Share – you make something fun (a mini-dialogue, poster, or video) and show it to the group.

Books we’ll use

  • Oxford Everybody Up – full of songs and real-life situations that make English stick.

  • Cambridge Kid’s Box – lots of games and comics that get you ready for Cambridge YLE tests.

  • Cambridge Empower – for older kids and teens who want everyday English for travel, chatting, and school.

I’ll add cool extras like phonics songs, ukulele music, and printable board games so every lesson feels like an adventure. Ready to jump in? Let’s level up your English together!
