About
A little about me: I've been an operatic baritone working in the industry for almost 8 years. Various credits include appearances at Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Annapolis Opera, Cincinnati Ballet, Livermore Valley Opera, and further future engagements.
My education includes a bachelor's in vocal performance from the Florida State University and an artists's diploma from the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
My past roles on stage include Escamillo in Carmen, Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni, Schaunard and Marcello in La bohème, Eugene Onegin in Eugene Onegin, and Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia. I also have lots of experience performing excerpts from musical theater including Oklahoma!, Pirates of Penzance, Carousel and more.
Teaching Style
If you can cook, you can sing! Let's have some fun making music!
I teach for all levels and interest from Opera, to Broadway, to folk/pop/indie genres.
A typical voice lesson includes working on vocal technique for the first half hour, then some repertoire work toward the end.
My philosophy is that your vocal technique is the backbone to your vocal expression. Let's build a great foundation so you can be the best artist you can be!
