Troy Palmer

I am returning to Lessonface after a few years away. I have continued to tutor on my own. Some of my reviews are dated because of this. I hope to get more students to get some new reviews soon--maybe that student is you!

I am a certified music teacher in both the Kentucky and Tennessee public school systems.  I offer guitar and drum lessons.  I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education.  During my time at WKU, I performed in the WKU Orchestra, WKU Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, the Big Red Marching Band, the WKU Percussion Ensemble and Steel Drum Band, and the WKU Men's Chorus and Choral Society.  I was also named the Fall 2015 Percussion Performer of the Semester.  

I have taught music in 2 school system in the state of Kentucky, teaching courses such as band, percussion, choir, music theory, music composition, and arts and humanities.  

I am now a university library director who enjoys tutoring music after work.

I am professional in my planning.  I treat your lessons just like planning for a class.  I will always be prepared.  I personalize music based on your interests. I try not to overwhelm the hobbyist, and try not to under-serve the budding professional.
