I'm a drummer in several bands: A progressive jazztronica band ”JUZT”, based in my hometown Vilnius, Lithuania. Our musical path started back in early 2019 by participating in a national band competition ”Garažas’19” Tamsta Club in which the band became finalist. In September 2019 JUZT won an International band competition ”Novus’19” Menų Fabrikas Loftas. Recently the band was nominated for the best original composition at Vilnius Jazz Young Power 2020 and won a Grand Prix. The band is actively playing and making a name in Lithuanian Jazz scene.
Additionally, I have participated and am taking part in other projects like jazztronica band ”Avis Rara”, Tuomas Räsänen Quintet, modern jazz quintet ”KZK on TV”, ”Castor Stetson”, ”Neris Jazz Sextet”, ”Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė Collective”, ”Luis Sanchez Trio”, ”Kai Gibson Trio”, ”Max Holm Quartet”, ”Apokaliptinis Bardakas”.

Winning the National Young Drummer Competition ”Tamsta Drum Day’19” in Vilnius, Lithuania led to participation and winning an International Drummers Contest ”Baltic Drummers League” Saulkrasti, Latvia 2019 which opened a path to perform in New Mexico Jazz Festivals Workshop in Albuquerque. A nomination of Best Instrumentalist at Vilnius Jazz Young Power 2020 got the attention of Lithuanian artist and the word about the drummer spread.
The knowledge and experience I've gained while studying in the United States is showing in my playing and attitude towards music. The time at Berklee is shaping my playing and has given me the resources to find my musical voice with the help of world famous teachers such as: Billy Kilson, Neal Smith, Jon Hazilla, Marco Djordevic , Ralph Peterson Jr., Ed Tomassi. After attending the Summer Performance Program in Valencia, Spain 2016, I've decided to study and pursue my passion for music in Boston, USA. That was the start of long hours of studying and practicing.
I'm available for projects, collaborations and bookings. Besides performing I'm teaching Private Percussion Lessons for all levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Sharing the passion for music and building a creative environment of musicians is what he is striving for. I like to think of my playing as a young willow tree, adapting to the winds breeze.
Teaching Style
I teach private drum lessons which consist of topics like technique, musicality, artistic identity, genres and styles and time management. I assign homework by taking in consideration that every student is different, therefore I try to come up with unique lesson plan in order to help you achieve long and short term goals.
