About

Hi, I’m Tyler — a professional guitarist and worship leader with over 26 years of playing experience and formal training from Berklee College of Music. I currently serve on staff at Chapel Roswell, where I play weekly in a live band environment using click tracks, stems, and full production setups. My background includes recording multiple albums, music directing, setlist planning, and mentoring musicians in real performance environments. During my time at Berklee, I was hired to train college students in worship leadership. I specialize in helping intermediate and advanced guitarists move beyond learning songs and into confident, intentional, band-ready playing.

Areas of Focus:

• Worship guitar tone, dynamics, and voicings

• Nashville Number System fluency

• Music theory that applies to real playing

• Fretboard mastery & chord mapping

• Playing with click tracks and backing tracks

• Band transitions, space, and musical awareness

• Preparing for live worship settings

My coaching is practical, encouraging, and rooted in real-world application. If you already play and want to grow into a more confident, musical guitarist — especially in worship or live band environments — I’d love to work with you.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is practical, encouraging, and rooted in real-world musicianship. I focus on helping students understand not just what to play, but why it works — especially in live band and worship settings. Rather than relying on generic exercises, I tailor each lesson to the student’s current skill level and goals, emphasizing musical awareness, tone, fretboard fluency, and confident execution in real scenarios. I create a supportive environment that challenges students to grow while building clarity, intentionality, and consistency in their playing. My goal is to help you become not just a better guitarist, but a more complete and confident musician.
