Teaching Style
APPROACH TO TEACHING: I am university-trained, and I have toured with many bands. My past has helped me to form a unique and effective approach to teaching. I believe that creating a solid foundation sets the pace. First and foremost, however, I make the lessons fun for the student, and I listen to each student, in order to know what they need and want to learn.
TEACHING INCLUDES
* Sound & Tone for voice or instrumental.
* Long Tones for both voice and instrumental.
* Scales, exercises, patterns. For voice or instrumental.
* Proper breathing from the lower abdomen, instead
of chest, for both voice and wind instruments.
* Listening to all genres of music for inspiration & ideas.
Curriculum
My method is my own, as I have compiled and created many exercises over the years. These are exercises that I learned during my formative years. They are now updated to fit the modern day, and these exercises serve as shortcuts to how I learned in my past. Everything I write is scored through a music program and set up neatly in PDF Files and EBooks.
