Russ Lawton

I'm mainly known as the drummer for the Trey Anastasio Band (Phish) and have  been recording (5 albums) and touring with him for the last 19 years. 

I also have my own funk -organ- drum duo called Soule Monde and was the drummer for the Afro-Beat band Zzebra for four years. 

I work as a session drummer too.

I have  been teaching privately for the  past 20 years, from beginners to pro, and teaching at Middlebury College for the past 10 years.

My teaching style starts with the rudiments-time& feel and studying the many styles of a working creative  drummer. Also sharing my experience of  many years  of recording and  touring.
