About
It is my firm belief that the teacher should be an example to those whom he teaches. I strive to live by example in speech, conduct, values, and virtues. My life is committed to serving and helping others. It is my hope that an insatiable love of life and learning is passed down to my students. I have more than seven years of experience as a performer, composer arranger, and teacher of Western music. I have instructional experience in orchestra, symphonic band, jazz band, general music, piano class, choir, Suzuki strings class, private guitar lessons, and class guitar.
Teaching Style
I believe that education should be full of joy, creativity, and freedom. Most of my students enjoy learning when they can relate to what is being taught. Getting to know my students and building relationships with my students is very valuable and important. The more I know about my students and their backgrounds, the better able I am to teach and be of good service.
My approach to teaching is multimodal. I try to engage my students in as many ways as I can. I do my best to accommodate and address each individual student’s learning styles and needs. I utilize experiential learning in all of my lessons. Students are more likely to remember lessons when they are associated with an experience.
