Scott McAvoy
About
Mr. McAvoy has studied Suzuki Violin with Keitha Herron in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania at the Academy of Community Music, where he also has taken a masterclass with Robert dePasquale. He has attended three Ithaca, New York Suzuki Institutes, and performed with many ensembles, including a concert at the Academy of Music with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Mr. McAvoy is a registered Suzuki Violin teacher by Eastern Mennonite University training in Harrisonburg, Virginia with Sharon Miller, and has a Bachelor of Science in Communication from James Madison University. With 18 years of experience developing successful violin students, he teaches private/group lessons at his Bridgewater, Virginia studio, as well as classes for Harrisonburg City Schools and Rockingham County Parks & Recreation.
