About
Learning trumpet should feel good — not stressful, not confusing, and definitely not a fight to get your child to practice. After a few lessons, many parents notice the same thing: their kids start feeling confident, excited, and proud of what they’re playing. That’s really the goal — when playing feels good, everything gets easier.
Whether you are a parent looking for the right teacher, an adult picking the horn back up after years away, or a seasoned player wanting to feel inspired again, I meet you exactly where you are. I want you to feel supported, understood, and motivated in a way that makes trumpet fun, not frustrating.
Comeback players tell me they finally enjoy playing again. Younger students light up when music starts making sense. Experienced players start feeling their sound come alive instead of forced. My lessons are smooth, encouraging, and practical — no ego, no pressure, just real progress you can feel.
And honestly, I teach for one reason: because after 40 years, I still feel it — and I want everyone to feel it too.
Teaching Style
I listen first — not just to your playing, but to your goals, your pace, and how you learn best. Every student is different, so I adjust the approach to fit the person, not the other way around. Kids stay motivated because they understand what they’re doing. Adults feel comfortable because the environment is positive and pressure-free. Comeback players finally get the foundation they’ve been missing.
My goal each week is that you (or your child) leave the lesson feeling confident, supported, and excited to keep going. If you want trumpet lessons that are clear, fun, and truly make sense, I’d love to work with you.
Curriculum
Students are encouraged to bring what they’re interested in or anything they’re having trouble with — whether it’s music from band, a favorite song, or a section that feels challenging. The goal is to focus on the things that keep them from enjoying the trumpet more and help turn those into moments of real progress.
