About
I'm a certified Colourstrings Teacher with 6 years of teaching experience with learners of all ages and I have successfully prepared numerous students for Spanish State Conservatory auditions and ABRSM exams both in violin and music theory. I'm the founder and artistic director of the Allegro Summer Camp and Masterclasses (HU) where we do a week-long intense work with violinist and pianist children between the age of 9-18. I'm an active musician, as I combine my work as a freelancer with various orchestras with teaching, regularly do concerts with chamber groups and sometimes even play in flamenco shows!
I got my Bachelor of Music with Honours degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2015 and in 2020 I obtained a Master's in Early Music Research, Performance and Education at the Escola de Musica de Catalunya (Barcelona) with Manfredo Kraemer.
In 2014 I successfully participated in the Colourstrings Method Course organized by the Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, HU, and got certified as a Colourstrings Teacher. That method was developed by Géza Szilvay in Helsinki, Finland, in the 70's and since then it's been considered as one of the most effective training method for young children.
During my studies I took part in numerous youth orchestra projects in Hungary, Romania, Italy, Germany and Spain, such as the Posticum Youth Orchestra, Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie, Collegium Musicum in Schloss Weissenstein, Youth Orchestra of Córdoba, Camerata Capriccio Espanol and the Balaton Chamber Orchestra and toured to countries, like Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. I've performed as an orchestra player at the Valley of Arts Festival, the VeszprémFest, and as a chamber musician at the contemporary festival „Plug” and the Cottier Chamber Project. I was selected to several apprenticeships with the Scottish Opera, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra ‘side by side’ workshop&recording session. As a member of flamenco groups, I've performed in Lisbon, Barcelona, Madrid and other Spanish cities.
Teaching Style
I firmly believe in consciousness and self-reflection: in my classes I intend to serve with valuable feedback and guidance at every step, help to make every decision consciously and to develop an effective study-plan. Creating a nurturing environment for students who would like to learn and take music and violin studies seriously is a necessity, therefore I encourage students to be vocal about their doubts, emotions and consider me as a person, who they can always count on.
During my classes I give it all and take an interest in each and every student's development and in return, I only expect students to be responsive and follow my guidance.
Curriculum
I’ve completed stage I. of the Colourstrings teaching method with its founder, Géza Szilvay. This method applies Zoltán Kodály’s pedagogical philosophy to the violin and develops musicianship in a greatly successful way from an early age.
During my studies I had the immense luck to have studied and received masterclasses with great teachers from all over Europe, who shared their philosophy and taught me very interesting and effective techniques. My wish is to be able to share that knowledge and pass it onto the next generation!
In my teaching, for beginners I use elements of the Colourstrings method mixed with other finger- and bow-exercises to enhance muscle-development and concentration. For intermediate and advanced students I prefer to use a mix of technical studies from traditional Hungarian, Russian and Franco-Belgian methods, I introduce conscious technical use with studies and scales along with more advanced pieces.
Apart from technique, the main focus is on the MUSIC, I always choose enjoyable repertoire for each age-group.
