Greetings! My name is Ernesto Mercado and I´m a professional composer/producer from México with over 20 years of experience. Throughout my career I´ve worked as a live and session musician, producer, arranger, composer and mixing engineer. I´m really passionate and professional about music.

Over 20 years as a professional musician/composer/performer/producer +15 years as a teacher/coordinator in the composition/jazz departments. Performed/toured worldwide.

My teaching is based on goals, objectives and a personalized approach. 

Goals: Do you want to learn songs? Improvise? To write songs? Improve your technique? The first step is to set clear goals and know what we are going to achieve in class. 

Objectives: Once our goals are established, we will set clear objectives and a reasonable time window where we can obtain the best results possible.

Personalized learning: Not all students learn the same way. There are students who thrive under pressure and clear objectives, those who learn better while having fun, students that like to relax while learning, etc. Finding out what kind of student you are will allow us to achieve faster results.
