Teaching Style
Having worked as a violin teacher for more than 10 years at a music school, I have a broad and diverse range of experience in teaching violin and related subjects to students ages 9 and above, with great international success. I'm also a violinist in many different symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles, which helps me not only passively teach but actively participate in cultural life and learn.
Although I specialize in classical music, I guide my students in discovering genres that they will be passionate about. My lessons include scales, technique, ear training, sight-reading, posture correction, music theory, music performance.
Curriculum
Since everyone has a different learning style, I tailor the curriculum to suit the levels and needs of each individual student. For beginners, I use "Essential Elements” published by Hal Leonard. Throughout my career as a teacher, I found Fortunatov’s short etudes to be perfect for learning and practicing sight-reading. The exact positions of the fingers are crucial to learn right from the start, which is why I teach scales not only to my youngest but also my oldest students as well. To make the process more fun, I also include Suzuki’s books to learn songs such as "Twinkle, twinkle little star" or "Old McDonald's had a farm."
For intermediate levels, I use Kayser and Wohlfahrt’s etudes, solo pieces, one and two-octave scales, and small concertos. With these curricula, my students learn bow control, different types of strokes, playing double stops correctly, proper position change, etc.
Advanced violinists will develop their virtuoso skills with the Flesch scale system, Mazas, Kreutzer, and Gaviniès’ etudes, concertos, sonatas, and other classical pieces.
