About
I am a composer and arranger with a master’s degree in musical composition from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden. My works have been performed by leading Swedish ensembles such as the Stockholm Symphonic Wind Band, KammarensembleN, Musica Vitae, the Stockholm Royal College Symphony Orchestra, and Norrbotten Neo, as well as internationally by groups including the Mata Festival Ensemble (New York) and the Syrian Heritage Ensemble (Damascus). You can listen to my compositions my YouTube channel.
I have over ten years of experience as a private music teacher, having taught students in Uppsala (Sweden) and North East Syria, and led composition and analysis workshops at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus. I currently teach music theory and ensemble performance at the College of Music, University of Duhok in Iraqi Kurdistan.
In my lessons, I combine theory and practice to help students develop both understanding and imagination. I offer personalized instruction in composition (classical and contemporary), harmony, form, orchestration, and Middle Eastern music theory. Whether you’re taking your first steps or refining your artistic voice, I will adapt each lesson to your level and goals, helping you think, listen, and create like a true musician.
Teaching Style
I believe music is best learned when theory and practice go hand in hand. My lessons combine a solid theoretical grounding with practical exercises. I carefully plan lessons to make them fit the needs of each student while teaching them all the skills they need and encouraging them to experiment with new possibilities that can enrich their musical understanding.
