Stephen Borgovini

Stephen Borgovini is a multi-platinum award-winning artist who gained worldwide recognition as co-founder of the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, a band from New York City.  He was the original drummer while sharing composing, songwriting, and producing credits under major recording labels.

Stephen has a music degree from Syracuse University, New York and a holistic sound healing diploma from The Sound & Music Institute, New York City.  A classically trained vocalist, he has been playing the drums for 43 years and the guitar for 23 years.

I know that the details of musicianship is just as important when teaching his students the drums.  “Teaching and learning are both about exploration, inquiry and experimentation.”  I approach each lesson fully committed to spark a student’s imagination and musical understanding through these principles. 

My joy in teaching is seeing students’ ideas develop and being there, guiding them each step of the way. My true purpose is to help students become problem solvers and independent learners, in discovering their own artistic voices, whilst daring them to be more than who they think they can be.
