About

I am a piano teacher and music educator with over 14 years of teaching experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in both school and private settings. My background as both a Primary School Teacher and a specialized Piano Teacher allows me to combine strong pedagogical training with deep musical knowledge, creating lessons that are engaging, structured, and fully personalized to each student.

I graduated as a Primary School Teacher from Escuela Normal Superior N°2 “Mariano Acosta” in Buenos Aires in 2014. In 2023, I completed two degrees at Escuela de Arte Leopoldo Marechal: Piano Teacher specialized in Tango and Professional Piano Instrumentalist specialized in Tango. I am currently finishing my Bachelor’s Degree in Arts at Universidad Nacional de San Martín, which I will complete in July 2026.

Alongside my academic training, I maintain an active career as a performing pianist. I am a member of the tango quintet Piedra Libre, performing at venues such as Facultad de Derecho (Buenos Aires), La Dama de Bollini, Santa Bar, Cultural Cava, CC Nuestra América, and a tango concert series at La Bestia Bar. I currently perform in the duo Suculentas and have been part of various tango, rock, and Argentine folk groups including Puro Cuento, Doctor Saturno, Luna Mestiza, and Orquesta Invisible. I have also worked as a piano accompanist for vocal showcases with teachers Sabrina Villa (2024–2025) and Bárbara Cimo (2022).

My teaching experience includes positions as a piano and music theory teacher at Conservatorio Rodó in Montevideo (online), and music teacher roles in several schools in Buenos Aires such as Colegio de los Santos Padres, Instituto Modelo Almafuerte, Colegio Americano, and Jardín Los Gnomos. In these schools, I teach music to children between 6 and 12 years old, and early childhood music to children ages 2 to 5. Since 2014, I have also maintained a private piano and music theory studio, teaching students of all ages — children, teenagers, adults, and older adults — both in person and online, and organizing five student recitals. I have experience leading inclusive music workshops for children with ASD, and I worked for many years as a primary school classroom teacher, which strongly shapes my approach to teaching music today.

This combination of formal education, active performance career, and extensive classroom experience allows me to understand how students learn at different ages and stages. My goal is always to help students build solid musical foundations while enjoying the process and developing confidence at the piano.

Teaching Style

My lessons are dynamic, creative, and student-centered. I believe that motivation is the key to learning music, so I always start from the musical interests of each student while gradually introducing new technical and musical challenges.

Because of my background as a primary school teacher, I have a deep understanding of how children learn, and I use games, songs, and playful activities to introduce piano technique and musical concepts in a natural way. At the same time, I also work very comfortably with teenagers and adults, adapting the class structure to their goals, whether they want to play for pleasure, develop solid foundations, or improve their technique.

Every student is different, so every lesson is different. I focus on building confidence at the piano, helping students feel capable from the very beginning. My goal is not only that students learn to play, but that they truly enjoy the process and develop a lasting connection with music.

Curriculum

I do not follow a single method. Instead, I draw from different pedagogical approaches and materials depending on the age, interests, and learning style of each student. Lessons include technical work, rhythm, harmony, reading, and interpretation, always through music that the student enjoys.

For beginners, I often use repertoire from James Bastien’s piano methods, as they provide a clear and progressive approach to reading and technique. I also incorporate ideas and materials from Violeta Hemsy de Gainza, the Suzuki method, and other pedagogical resources that help make learning musical, gradual, and meaningful.

For online lessons, students only need a keyboard or piano and an internet connection. I make sure that the online experience is as interactive and effective as in-person lessons.
