About

"Hi there! My name is Milton Melgarejo, and I'm a professional musician and experienced online guitar, ukulele, piano, and music theory instructor from Chile. I have 11 years of experience teaching students of all levels and ages, from children to adults.  I have the pleasure of teaching students from more than 10 countries, including Canada, the USA, Latin America, and Europe. In addition to teaching, I also work as an arranger, providing preproduction, guitar tracks, and brass arrangements for productions.

Teaching Style

My teaching approach is to get to know you as well as possible to enhance your skills, help you with what is most difficult for you, always according to your interests.  Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, I offer personalized classes in guitar, ukulele, piano, and music theory. I am a passionate educator who is native in Spanish and speaks English at an intermediate B2 level.  I continued studying English with a personal teacher to continue advancing quickly.

If you want to focus on playing songs, you can give me a list to play the ones you like the most. The focus is always personalized on what you want to learn and on keeping your motivation high.

Curriculum

My learning method has to do with always listening to the student. Everything we do comes from yourself, your tastes, your goals, your way of learning and of course your curiosity.

I have many books to recommend based on your interests and musical genres.

Music Theory:

Teoría y armonía Moderna / Enric Herrera

Manual de armónia / María Soledad Morales
